This seems like a pairing the flyers need to target and have success against in order to win.

The Flyers D will confuse the Isles by having two bad pairs to exploit

I think we need to start playing mental games with the opposition.

Example #1:
30 seconds into period one, we should pull the goalie for the extra skater, and immediately have the extra skater shoot and score on our own net. He should then proceed to skate past the oppositions bench and "fist bump them" as if he is on their team.

Example #2:
With only a few minutes left in the first period, at the faceoff dot the Flyers should pick a fight. It doesnt matter if it is the left or right winger, but that player needs to immediately engage his own center and proceed with a lengthy bout. After winning OR losing, he should SSHHH his own bench.

Example #3:
Instead of recalling a player in the event of an injury, the Flyers should sign an aging veteran and have him play on the 4th line. Considering we are really struggling to find good left wingers, Illka Sinisalo should do the trick.

Hextall definitively stated Medvedev was healthy 11 days ago. If he's lying, I don't know why.

TimmyP: Is he (Medvedev) healthy?

Hextall: Yes.

TimmyP: Did he have a setback or anything like that?

Hextall: No, absolutely not.

I wonder if we recalled McDonald to confuse the Islanders by making them think we recalled Macdonald thereby getting them to ice an AHL lineup..

I'm finally on the "it's time for Nick Schultz to sit" bandwagon, although I'm not sure for who.

It's also clear that they are playing Brandon Manning come hell or high water.

Also, my theory on Medvedev is "language barrier issues" or somehow related to his NA transition (not just him, but his family). I can't believe it's because he's not good enough or doesn't have enough skill.

Any thoughts or reasons on the back and forth between goalies?

Oh, even THAT McDonald is an ex-Islander.

We have ALL of the guys that weren't good enough to play on the Islanders.

I think because Neuvirth has been a bit better, he's been seeing more action.

I agree with Johndewar. Something is going on with Medvedev. I don't believe he's not playing because the coach doesn't think he's good enough. I don't know what it is, but something is going on, that they don't want to talk about.

Thanks Bill. I hope that we have an answer for the fourth line of the Islanders. They have the ability to knock our guys around a bit. The only really dirty player on that team is Clutterbutt. If he pulls something like what happened to Gagner the other night, then we may lose another player. I am crossing my fingers for our players.
Maybe we will catch Hamonic dreaming of playing on a team that is closer to home tonight. Remember, "there's no place like home," click click...lol.
